research evidence and accountability

A4HU appreciates research as a driver of change for the health and socio-economic well-being of young people. A4HU aims to increase the use of research and evidence by actors to address youth SRH and Family Planning challenges by:

  • Developing the capacity of governance structures at the health units and communities to track and report on service delivery, including commodity stock-outs.
  • Mentoring youth in basic research methods to improve their capacity to research issues affecting service delivery.
  • Research and analysis of service delivery, including budget studies and scorecards to inform policy advocacy interventions at micro and macro levels.

A4HU also strives to improve Monitoring and Evaluation Systems for improved health and socio-economic status of the youth through; Communities of practice, Knowledge management, Workgroups and networks, DQA, lessons learned and good practices
