Equity Accelerator Fund (EAF)
Launched in June 2025, the Equity Accelerator Fund is an initiative implemented through a partnership between Action 4 Health Uganda and PATH Uganda, with financial support from GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance. The program aims to enhance vaccine awareness and drive demand for immunization services in the targeted districts of Mityana, Mubende, and Kassanda. By focusing on reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children, the initiative seeks to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases and improve overall immunization coverage, ensuring that vulnerable populations in these communities have equitable access to life-saving vaccines.
Action 4 Health Uganda collaborates with government health facilities to provide vaccination services to children, adolescents, and the elderly. Children 0-5 years are to receive all the basic vaccines, female adolescents 10-19 years to receive Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine, and the elderly to receive COVID-19 vaccine.
