Seventeen dynamic young women will graduate from the POWER Cohort IV incubation program, an accelerator initiative led by Action 4 Health Uganda and DSW (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung). The program empowers aspiring young female entrepreneurs to build sustainable social enterprises. Over the past six months, the ladies have developed innovative business ideas with the support of experienced business coaches and industry experts, focusing on solutions that integrate sexual and reproductive health (SRH) with sectors such as menstrual health, mental health, and other areas.
As part of their graduation, the participants will take the stage on DEMO DAY, where they will have the exciting opportunity to:
- Pitch their business ideas to potential funders and investors
- Network with prospective investors and partners
- Become part of the GROWING POWER Alumni Network, which offers ongoing support and valuable connections
- Additionally, the graduates will be invited to join the Multisectoral Investment Fund, which provides startup financing to help bring their business ideas to life on the broader community. Each participant will receive seed capital to help launch and grow their enterprise.
This event highlights the continued growth and success of the POWER program, which stands as a beacon of hope for young women entrepreneurs in Uganda. The program is dedicated to Providing Opportunities for Women in Entrepreneurship and Reproductive Health, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
